Get Help

BCM Georgia has been assisting vulnerable neighbors since 1987. Our programs have evolved and grown over the years. Today, we offer 3 programs to support our community, serving 1,098 families in the past year alone. Metro Atlanta is the primary service area, but we also help families across Georgia. Whether it be an emergency intervention to bridge a financial gap and keep a family housed during family crisis, wrap-around services to help a family go from homelessness to navigate long-term living independence, or a financial education program that instills budgeting habits and lifelong skills for financial success, BCM is there to keep our communities strong and thriving.

God

We believe that there is one God eternally existing in three persons--Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things.
(Genesis 1:1; John 1:1; Matthew 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
We believe in Jesus Christ, God in human flesh, who came to this world to die for our sins and who was bodily raised from the dead.
(1 Corinthians 15:1-8)
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of the Living God, who draws people to Christ and who lives in every person who has received Christ.
(John 16:8-9; Acts 2:38; Ephesians 1:13-14)

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the only infallible, inspired, and authoritative Word of God. As such it is our final authority for all matters of faith and Christian practice. (2 Timothy 3:14-16)

Man

We believe that man, created by God, willfully sinned and as a result, is lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ.(Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23; Acts 4:12)

Salvation

We believe that salvation—the forgiveness of sins—is available only by the grace of God through the blood of Jesus Christ. This free gift of salvation is offered to all who receive Christ as Lord and Savior. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Colossians 2:6; John 3:16)
We believe the Bible clearly teaches the pattern to receive Christ is to believe in Jesus as God’s Son and Savior of the world, repent of personal sin, and confess Christ publicly.(Romans 10:9; Acts 2:36-38, Mark 16:16)

The Church

We believe that the Church is the body and bride of Christ on earth, founded on the Day of Pentecost, consisting of all Christians everywhere.(Matthew 16:13-18; Acts 2:14-47)
We believe in a believer’s baptism and that immersion under water is the mode of baptism as indicated by Jesus’ own example and command, and best depicts our union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.(Mark 1:9-10; Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4)

Ordinances

We believe in a believer’s baptism and that immersion under water is the mode of baptism as indicated by Jesus’ own example and command, and best depicts our union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.(Mark 1:9-10; Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4)Each week, we take communion to renew our commitment to each other and to Christ. The Lord's supper is an invitation to exalt Jesus together, and as often as we do it, we proclaim the Lord's death until He comes. (1 Corinthians 11:26, Matthew 26:26-28)

End Times

We believe that death seals the eternal destiny of each person. Those who are forgiven will spend eternity with God in heaven, those not forgiven will be eternally separated from God in hell.
(Hebrews 9:27; John 5:28-29; Daniel 12:2; 2 Corinthians 4:14; Acts 17:31)
We believe in the personal return and victorious reign of Jesus Christ, who will judge in equity and justice all people who have ever lived, giving over those who were unrepentant to eternal condemnation but receiving the redeemed into eternal life.(Acts 1:11; 2 Peter 3:9-10; Rev. 19:11-16)

Foundation 3TM

Through Foundation 3™, BCM Georgia helps working families that are experiencing or are on the brink of homelessness establish a solid financial foundation. The program targets three essential areas: safe housing, stable employment, and education. While enrolled in the program, participants receive financial assistance for rent and utilities for a period of 12 months. Participants are required to attend weekly virtual case management meetings, which include career-based education and employment services, as well as other case-specific supports.

For more information, email Foundation3@bcmgeorgia.org
  • The family must be experiencing homelessness or on the brink of homelessness in Metro Atlanta.
  • Must be a parent or legal guardian of a minor child living in the home.
  • The parent or guardian must be employed full-time for a minimum of three weeks.
  • Photo ID for all adult household members
  • Birth Certificate for all minor children
  • Minor children's school records (report card, IEP, etc.)
  • Certification of homelessness indicates that a family lacks a fixed, regular, and adequate place to stay overnight. This can be evidenced by documents such as a shelter letter, eviction notice, hotel receipt, or a letter from a relative or friend who acknowledges that you are living in a location not intended for human habitation, among other forms of proof.

Applying for the Program

Applications for the Foundation 3 program are accepted periodically throughout the year, as openings become available. There isn't a specific period for application submissions, so we encourage families to check the website regularly for updates on available spots. For more information, please contact the program director at Foundation3@bcmgeorgia.org.

Application Process:

Please click on the link for the eligibility questionnaire. If you are eligible, you will be asked to upload some information and documents, then click submit. You will receive a message saying thank you for completing the application. The program director will review your information to determine your eligibility for a virtual appointment. You will then be contacted by phone and email to schedule your appointment.

If your submitted documents do not meet the eligibility requirements, you will receive an email notifying you that you are not eligible for the Foundation 3 Program.

I am homeless and need housing now. Why can’t I apply?

BCM Georgia is not accepting applications for the Foundation 3 program. Applications become available as openings occur, typically when families complete the program.

Please check back regularly or email Foundation3@bcmgeorgia.org to inquire about upcoming availability.

Am I eligible if I have just given birth to my first child and am not working?

The program director will assess your eligibility based on your work history and your homelessness. For example, suppose you have worked at your job for over a year but are currently on maternity leave and living in a shelter. In that case, your situation will be taken into consideration.

My husband and I are working, but we are homeless and don’t have any children. Are we eligible for Foundation 3?

The Foundation 3 program does not serve families without children.

I have an eviction notice, but I don’t have custody of my children; my children live with my mother. Am I eligible for Foundation 3?

The Foundation 3 program does not serve families without children. The children must live in the home with their parents or a legal guardian.

I am homeless with children, and the application is not open on your website. Should I take my children to the BCM Georgia Office for assistance with housing?

The BCM office is an administrative office, and there are no case managers there to assist.  There is no housing at the BCM Georgia office.
