Strategic Plan 2025–2028

Keeping Families Together Through Housing Stability and Financial Education Programs: BCM Georgia’s Bold Vision for Metro Atlanta
In a city where the average rent has risen more than 30% in five years, thousands of working families in Metro Atlanta live one emergency away from eviction. BCM Georgia’s 2025–2028 Strategic Plan meets this moment head-on: expanding impact, deepening partnerships with faith communities, foundations, and corporations to ensure that no family faces housing instability alone. With its two-generation approach, BCM is serving the community with a focus on impact: when parents stay housed and financially secure, children remain in the same schools, avoid the trauma of homelessness, and can build brighter futures.
This dual focus on adult economic security and child well-being ensures that stable families foster children’s growth and success. These programs are designed to break the cycle of poverty across generations.
The five strategic goals work together to turn that vision into reality.
· Goal 1 strengthens program pathways that deliver immediate eviction prevention and long-term financial and life skills education.
· Goal 2 expands community engagement by forging stronger ties with churches, businesses, civic leaders, and volunteers to support vulnerable neighbors.
· Goal 3 commits to rigorous impact measurement—so every dollar and every partnership produces measurable outcomes for Metro Atlanta children and their parents.
· Goal 4 diversifies funding streams, building a resilient financial foundation through individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners who see the return on investment in healthier communities.
· Goal 5 harnesses the power of storytelling, sharing real success stories—children succeeding in school because their families stayed housed, parents gaining confidence through financial literacy, neighborhoods growing stronger together—to inspire broader support and deeper involvement.
At the heart of the plan is a clear conviction: every investment in a family’s housing stability today is an investment in a child’s future. BCM’s three signature programs – Emergency Rental Assistance, Budget for Life, and Foundation 3 – together keep families housed through eviction prevention and financially stable through financial budgeting and education and scholarships towards economic mobility. These efforts directly allow children to stay in their same schools, avoid the trauma of homelessness, and focus on their education and well-being.
BCM Georgia’s 2025–2028 Strategic Plan is more than a document; it is a promise to Metro Atlanta’s most vulnerable families. By intentionally linking housing stability today with opportunity for the next generation, deepening community-wide partnerships, and telling the stories that move hearts and grow funding support, BCM is creating a movement where no child has to change schools because a parent had a temporary job loss, and no parent has to choose between groceries and the light bill. In a city that never stops growing, BCM is making sure every neighbor has the opportunity to thrive and belong.
