28th Annual Tee It Up Golf Tournament

6 October 2025

It was a gorgeous day for golf and gathering old friends, and new. Thank you to each and every participant in BCM's largest annual fundraiser.

More than 150 players, sponsors, volunteers, and BCM team members joined to make the 28th Annual Tee It Up Golf Tournament a wonderful day out on Peachtree Golf Club's beautiful course.

This year's event raised more than $400,000 from sponsorships, silent and live auctions, raffle, par 3 poker, and in-kind donors. Thank you to everyone who made this year so much fun. Special thanks to Presenting Sponsor, SouthState Bank, and Double Eagle Sponsor Nexus Luxury Group, owners of Albany Bahamas and the St. Regis Buckhead and ATLAS restaurant, Eagle Sponsors - Southern Company Gas and RLS Ventures, and Birdie Sponsors - Evergreen Construction and Bert and Rhonda Ponder.

The renown Robert Trent Jones Sr. course with towering pines provided the perfect backdrop for the shotgun start, with each player playing their own ball, leading to friendly competition and camaraderie. Participants joined in BCM’s largest annual fundraiser from a diverse array of professional backgrounds, including: finance and wealth management, real estate, construction, insurance, banking, healthcare, accounting, and technology. It was a day of celebrating connections and community, with new friendships being formed.

One standout feature this year was the introduction of a Par 3 Poker game, which brought a fresh twist to the traditional tournament format. Players battled for the best chance at hitting onto the green to draw a total of 7 cards, with the best 5 card hand  winning a prize during the reception.

Adding inspiration at the afternoon reception was our special guest speaker, Tekeyla, a former BCM client in the Budget for Life program. Her story of success was covered a few months ago and can be found here.

Tekeyla shared her remarkable journey from living paycheck to paycheck to one of success, with a bright future. Her story, laced with humor and hard-won wisdom, provided attendees with insight into why BCM’s programs are so important for low-income working neighbors within our community.

As the sun dipped toward the horizon, casting a golden glow over the awarding of trophies and e live and silent auction winners, the 28th Annual Tee It Up Golf Tournament concluded on a high note of gratitude and promise. A heartfelt thank you again to our players, sponsors, and volunteers. You have made an important contribution toward our mission of keeping vulnerable families housed while creating pathways to financial stability.
